Gang of Four

Gang of Four are a Leeds-based British post-punk band. The group originally formed in 1977 before fizzingly out in 1984, then reuniting with a couple members for two brief stints in the 1990s before reuniting with the complete original lineup in 2004. The group is best known for their brilliant debut Entertainment!. In 2005, the group released Return the Gift, re-recording of classic Gang of Four material. Since 2000, the group has been highly praised by up-and-coming indie bands taking cues from post-punk and new wave bands of the late 70s and early 80s. This increased attention has fostered a new generation of Gang of Four fans.
