Anasarca are a German extreme metal band formed in Emden in 1995 by Michael Dormann and Heiner Saliger, previously of tech death band Vomiting Corpses. Anasarca's sound is subtly unique, blending a semi-technical brutal death metal style with the kind of twin guitar approach more commonly heard in the melodic death or melodic black metal subgenres.
