Polyenso (formerly known as post-hardcorebandOceana) is an experimental/indie band out ofFlorida.They released their debut albumcalledTheTide onMarch 4th, 2008 through Rise Records whichhad a moremetalcore sound. On March 16th, 2010 theyreleasedtheir2nd LPBirth.Eater under RiseRecords,with newlead singer Brennan Taulbee and madean impressivedebut placing #48 ontheBillboardHeatseekers chart.They disbanded shortlyafter it's release.Some of the band quickly rejoined withBrennancontinuing on leads and made a new EP calledCleanHead which featured noscreamingvocals andfocusedmor ...read more

They released their firstLPunder the name, OneBigParticular Loop,unsignedon January 22nd, 2013.Polyenso — had spent the three yearsworkingextensivelywith producer Jason Pennock.Evolving theirparticular flavor of indie-rocktoincludeelements of hip-hop, neo-soul, andexperimental electronics, they pulledinfluences fromacts such as Flying Lotus, The Roots,BrightEyes,andBjork, half-jokingly referring to theirmedley as “urban-indie progressive."They released their first new tracks in 2014, “17NewYears” (which was advertised as anarticlethroughTheHuffington Post)and“MoonaFestival”provide listeners with a taste of thedepth and scope ofthe band's ever-expanding sound.
