  • Cygnatti one of the only truly significant thing i've noticed is that when many bands incorporate shoegaze textures into their music but it doesn't quite sound the same, and or "isn't rock music" (by way of electronics), therefore it isn't shoegaze by principal, but can rather be described as nu gaze instead.

  • Cygnatti so what signifies the distinctions between nu gaze and shoegaze (assuming nu gaze is an actual thing)? so far, what i can gather is that nu gaze to shoegaze is akin to neo-psych to psychedelic rock, meaning that there isn't any cut and dry why to easily tell between the two.
