Starting off in 1997 as a band experimenting with the Emo genre by significantly adding an element of chaos, Orchid is one of the bands that significantly altered the Emo genre enough to create the schizophrenic bastard child genre Screamo. Gaining notoriety with a slew of splits with other underground bands of the time, Orchid released 1 full length LP and a 10" that peaked at that sound they had on the splits.
