Nonpoint is Nu-metal band originating from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Containing Four members with Elias Soriano on vocals, Andrew Goldman on guitar, Kenneth 'KB' Charman on bass, and Robb Rivera on drums. The band started in 1997 and is a cross of nu metal and rapcore. The band made a name for itself within the metal scene almost as soon as it started in South Florida. The band first album Separate Yourself was released independently in 1997. Their first Commercially released Album Struggle was brought forward on may 18, 1999 on what is now known as the Defunct Jugular Records. Their first major album Statement was released on October 10, 2000 through MCA records. Nonpoint toured with many bands such as Hed PE, Fuel, Mudvayne, and Taproot. Their main appearance was on the united states leg of the 2001 Ozzfest tour. Within a year the album was in the top 200 of the billiard charts. 'What a day" was in number 24 on their list as hit singles. Development was released on June 25, 2002. This album was number 52 on the billiards charts Surpassing their first album, though their hit single did not surpass their last hit being only number 36. Once agian they had a success at Ozzfest only this time on the European leg of the tour. Others included were Papa roach and Sevendust. Two years later came Recoil released on August 3rd, 2004 With a new record company, Lava Records. This album did not do as well as the last album on the charts being number 115 but their best hit yet coming out as number 22, The Truth. Next up came To the pain and live and kicking.To the pain was released on November 8th, 2005. This album also hit the charts at number 147. They toured with bands such as disturbed, Sevendust, and stone sour. « hide |
