Sigue Sigue Sputnik are a British new wave band that was formed in 1982 by former Generation X bassist Tony James. The bandhad three UK Top 40 hit singles, including "Love Missile F1-11" and "21st Century Boy". The group originally disbanded in 1989,but reunited temporarily in 1995, and officially returned in 1998. Although their reunion attracted little attention in the UK, it didattract major attention in Japan, which is where Sigue Sigue Sputnik would mostly concentrate their efforts on in the followingyears. Although they haven't released any original material since their 2004 single "Grooving with Mr. Pervert", they remainsporadically active as a touring group, and are known to have frequent reunion shows.
