hide (born Hideto Matsumoto) was a highly influential guitarist and musician from Japan. hide's career started in 1980, but hedidn't truly
makejoin a known project until 1984, when he joined with Saver(Saber) Tiger. The band split in 1987, and that iswhen hide made his

Zoo" was inthe works. However, in May of 1998, hide hangedhimself in his Tokyo apartment while intoxicated one night. His third solo album, "Ja
Zoo", wasfinally released months later,which (presumably because of hide's tragic suicide) peaked atnumber 1 on the Oricon charts. His legacy
stillremains today,and he is arguably one of the utmost important figures in visual kei history, along with his fellow X Japan members. « hide |
