Actually, they have no true definable sound, as it changes from album to album. This is part of the allure of Radiohead - what the Hell are they gonna do next? Their first taste of success was from MTV's promotion of their single "Creep" off of their Pop/Rock debut album, Pablo Honey, and Radiohead initially went for a sound that drew inspiration from U2, 80's rock, and the new music of the 90's. Their second album, The Bends, met with huge acclaim and success, and defined a solid guitar rock sound for the band. It also moved away from much of the sound of the prior album. Their third release, OK Computer, caught everyone off guard - an epic alternative album, loaded with rollicking emotion, incredible instrumentation, with heaps of texture and dynamic as well as some electronica and trip-hop influences.
