Megadeth are known for their fast thrash riffs and unique solos. The band formed when Dave Mustaine was kicked out of Metallica and released its first album, Killing Is My Business... And Business is Good! Dave swore to be better and faster than Metallica, and this desire was personified in his albums all the way up to the thrash class Rust In Peace. The band have grown with each album, starting with the under-produced Killing Is My Business... to their more mature The System Has Failed Megadeth play fast furious thrash though they have changed their style greatly, this first appeared on 1992's Countdown To Extinction which was slower and more thought-out. The band kept getting more mainstream until the sub-par Risk where Megadeth were to get back to their metal roots. Megadeth's next album, titled United Abominations, is due in May of '07.
