Linkin Park is a rock band from Agoura Hills, California. Since their formation in 1996, the band has sold more than fifty million albums and won two Grammy Awards. The band reached mainstream success with their debut album Hybrid Theory. Their follow up album Meteora maintained that success and was well recieved.
Linkin Park took the nu metal genre combined it with rapping vocals, and made it radio friendly style while still remaining a well layered band with contemplative lyrics and powerful songs that can be enjoyed by people in of all different ages.

They have done lots of work with other artists, most notably Jay-Z on their mash up album Collision Course. Reanimation also showed them working with alot of underground rap artists like Black Thought, Motion Man, Kutmasta Kurt. As well as Jonathan Davis of Korn.
Linkin Park is considered one of the key artists in combining Nu Metal with rapcore, however their latest album Minutes to Midnight seemed to change their style into a more simple Alternative Rock style. « hide |
