Often referred to as the point where Ice-T fell off, Home Invasion is Ice-T's 5th album, and one of the more overlooked records in his catalog. Although not quite as focused and bold as his previous 3 efforts, Ice proved he still had skills here. Ice still had a commanding voice, and a straight-forward flow that is hard not to respect or like.

One of the main complaints from people about this album is that Ice-T went in a less political direction than his previous albums. Even though this is true, his delivery and rhymes were still on point. Tracks like "Race War" and "Home Invasion" proved he could still be poetic, and sharp with his subject matter. Ice sticks to most of the same topics he rapped about previously, but the political themes are lower than usual this time. Along with the razor-sharp lyrics, the beats are solid, just disappointing. DJ Aladdin's beats are pretty good here, but the lyrics are the star of the show here.

Though not nearly as potent as his previous releases, Home Invasion showed that, despite what some critics may have had you think, Ice-T was still a very good artist. There are a few standout tracks that you should hear if you're a fan of Ice, otherwise, still check this album out as it had some good messages, and is a solid album overall. Just don't expect top-tier Ice-T when coming into this.

Review is a bit formulaic. Try going a little bit longer and using more interesting verbs/adjectives!

Although I'm really not an expert on reviews I think it's definitely lacking some depth.

Where does this statement come from? You need to back up your points.

Props however for reviewing this album in the first place, I Ain't New To This is such a great jam!!!

Just giving this a spin again and I'm enjoying it way more than upon its release. Some great jams on here.
