Ice-T

A true pioneer of hip hop, not only was he the first rapper to use the word ''nigga'' in a rap, he has also defined gangsta rap. His earlier work mixed political messages often to do with racism and drugs, as well as ''gangsta'' raps depicting crime and sexual desires. His later work, however, follows a more direct ''gangsta'' style. Sometimes accused of selling out for using rock music. He is admired and respected by fans of gangsta, political and old school hip hop for his work.
