About the album
Obviously, 80-85 is just a repackaging of Bad Religion's 1982 debut album How Could Hell Be Any Worse?. The repackaging was released in 1991, nine years after the release of How Could Hell Be Any Worse?. It also includes all songs from the two EPs Bad Religion (1981) and Back to the Known (1984) and three tracks from Public Service. The whole album runs 56 minutes. 80-85 didn't include their 1983 second full-length album Into the Unknown, likely due to it's genre changing and time of unpopularity. After the release of that album, the band took a five year break before releasing their critically acclaimed release Suffer in 1988.
The band has been playing REAL PUNK ROCK for years, their sound has been changing through out the years.
What I like about this album
I bought 80-85 on CD a couple years ago and enjoyed their journey back to their humble beginnings very much. First of all before I bought 80-85, I didn't know Bad Religion had any albums before Suffer.
The sound is great, I don't think I have anything negative to say about it. The guitar sound is excellent like on any other Bad Religion albums. The bass and drum sound is also good.
The lyrics are probably one of the albums best parts. "We're Only Gonna Die" has some of the best "Early man walks away as modern man, took control, weren't all the same to conquer was their goal", where Greg Graffin began to sing the song and "nice going spazz", the intro to "Frogger", which appeared on Back to the Known.

This is an extremely skimpy review. You say two or three actual things about the sound of the album, and it doesnt matter if its a comp, why not talk about what got included/excluded?

| | | Once again, in all honesty, this review told me nothing.
| | | Wow guys, lay off just neg voting this. At the very least tell him what he needs to improve (thanks iluvatar).

| | | It's better than your How Could Hell Be Any Worse? review, but not by much. You pretty much just told us the lyrics to "We're Only Gonna Die" and that the instruments sound good. That's really not enough info for someone unfamiliar with Bad Religion.
| | | Iluvatar explained what you need to do perfectly. If you don't want to write alot, you still need to include details about the music and submit it as a blurb. This Message Edited On 04.20.06
| | | I gave nice critisism in his last BR review, which was exactly the same as this one. Except... this one is less informative.
Not to mention he threw a shitfit last time he recieved any critisism at all.
| | | If you're talking about the comment from hellotards, I'm 90% sure that was Vheissu, not the reviewer.
| | | Also, don't make statement like "This band has been playing REAL PUNK ROCK for years", makes you sound like an elitist douche. And 10 reccomended tracks is quite a lot, even for a 28 track album.
| | | yeah Ill second what everyone else said
| | | not a big Bad Religion fan...although I saw them once and they were pretty good live.
Follow these guy's advice friend, they know their stuff.
And I just sat here for 5 minutes watching "morrissey"s image of Donald Trump dancing...

| | | I´ve to agree. This is a bad review.
| | | I have to agree, i watched Trump dance for about 2 minutes now.
But this review seemed really rushed and the "REAL PUNK ROCK" comment was a bad touch for any review.
