Bad Religion

Arguably the most influential punk band of the last quarter century or so, Bad Religion created an entirely new take on punk rock fusing theaggression andspeed of 80's hardcore with catchy melodies and highly intelligent, political lyrics stressing individualism and progressive thinking. Their album Suffer, widelyacclaimed as one of the most influential punk albums ever, can be duly credited with revitalizing 88's flagging punk rockscene, giving rise to bands like NOFX,Lagwagon, Pennywise, Offspring and many more. A huge range of artists, from members of Simple Plan tomembers of As I Lay Dying, cite Bad Religion as aninfluence or a favorite.
