The Script The Script | 4.0 |
Buy this album. If you like alternative rock, this is the next step for the genre. Hopefully we'll hear more from them and bands like them. This record is excellent. |
Alexisonfire Crisis | 3.5 |
Worth a listen if you're new to the emo genre. It's emo done well. There is nothing wussy about this band. Boiled Frogs changed my life. Crisis will change your opinion of the emo genre. |
Alexisonfire Old Crows / Young Cardinals | 3.5 |
Very political. Perhaps a step down from Crisis, which I loved. Listen to The Northern and taste the laid back brilliance of Old Cros/Young Cardinals. |

Taking Back Sunday New Again | 3.0 |
It's a great album, but it's really bad compared to the other three, which seem to get better the farther back we go. Tell All Your Friends was my fav. |
Eminem Relapse | 4.0 |
Not awful. Spectacular. Eminem is back to his roots with harsh lyrics that will make you laugh and gag. If you like SouthPark...you know exactly what I mean. This man is a genius. |
My Chemical Romance Live and Rare | 3.0 |
AC/DC Black Ice | 2.5 |
Good band. Good history. Cool songs. To be honest, this is getting old. Production is superb, and Brian's voice still works, but with all of my respect, this is a step down from Back in Black. I don't think they're going to be able to surpass that record. The album's highlights sound great, but this is a fan's record. |
Snow Patrol A Hundred Million Suns | 3.0 |
I'm glad the band is back. I love how the album is mellow and a little more atmospheric than "Eyes Open." But Lightbody needs to start singing his songs. The song 'Set Down Your Glass' is un-acceptable. The rest of the record is well written and engaging. They did a good job making each song sound slightly different while maintaining the overall mood of the record. Fans of "Eyes Open" may have a hard time getting used to it, though. I know I did. It's probably a better idea to compare it to "Final Straw." A good record. |
Guns N' Roses Chinese Democracy | 3.5 |
Lost in the "Garden" again. This is no "Use Your Illusion," but all of the melody and hard rock touchstones are still present. It's obvious that Axl's voice is going with his age, not to mention the absence of Slash is heartbreaking...But it's still Guns N' Roses. And I'm still impressed. |

It's either a nasty message for fans and critics, or they just wanted to squeeze something out to sell. No solos, songs are long and boring. The best songs are the first four tracks on the cd. A big disappointment, but not a complete failure. |
Metallica Death Magnetic | 4.0 |
Shinedown The Sound of Madness | 3.5 |
This is how I want Shinedown to sound. The first two albums were good, but this album is excellent. Listen to "If You Only Knew" and "The Sound of Madness" for a decent taste of the record. |
Trapt Only Through the Pain | 3.0 |
Not as good as the other albums. They can still write very atmospheric slow love songs, but the hard songs are just weak. There is nothing resembling Headstrong, Lost Realist, Repeat Offender, These Walls or Still Frame. It's all sappy break up music, with one cool exception..."Only One Color." "WGHWYT" is a fantastic single, though. |
Slipknot All Hope Is Gone | 3.5 |
