It's not bad. Well, It's not a Classic. You can hear it (and like it) a few times, but it lacks, in my point of view, some sort of musical charisma, that defined Static-X.

Grandmaster Flash The Bridge - Concept of a Culture3.0
Remember Grandmaster, right? Well, all of us that really like Hip Hop should respect this name, for all that Flash made to the genre. In 2009, we can (finally) get to know the next chapter in his story.

Technically speaking, has everyone expected, the album is flawless. The beats are neat, clean, and club-focused.

Speaking of club-focused, we can tell that this is not a deep album, from a elder god from hip hop. Nope. It's fresh, and ready for the B-Boys (Check out the "Tribute to the Breakdancer" - A deserved tribute, and a good tune). Honestly, I was expecting some balance between more complex songs, and the groovy ones, but we can't see them here. Only the groove. It's alright. I'm not mad.

Highlights:

"Here comes my DJ" - Speaking of club-oriented, this is definitely the name that says it all!

"What If" - A semi-mind-tickling song, trying to remember all of us how the world would be if Hip Hop was never born.

Bottom-Line:

3/5

If a friend of yours wants you to show him/her what is Hip Hop, don't show this album. If your throwing a party, bring it.

Trentemoller The Last Resort4.5
I am a very very big fan os Trentmoller. His songs (a.k.a. "masterpieces") tend to remind you that electronic music are more than the superficial and brainless tunes that you hear in clubs. Listen to it, laying in your bed, don't do anything else. Just enjoy the pure and complex melodies that Anders created. You'll be amazed.

Linda Martini Olhos de Mongol4.0
Linda Martini proves what is being said in the underground circuit in Portugal: There are great bands doing awesome works. Olhos de Mongol is an excellent album, very intense, and, for the one that understand portuguese, have very deep lyrics. Even if you don't understand, it's worth the try, the whole album is based more on the guitars than on the vocals.
