Tally Hall show a great appreciation and knowledge of music and harmony. They feel and sound like an a capella group that couldn't contain their music to vocal chords.
The group started years ago making short comedic videos and some music (a few of the songs on the album, most notably Banana Man, come from this period) and I was hooked even then, though more by their clever wit than the music. When I heard they had released a full album I was surprised, since I only associated them with their videos, but honestly this album is worth checking out.
Their album is not only a fun ride, but a talented one as well, and worth looking into for anyone who appreciates vocal harmony and clever lyrics. |
