Would’ve been better as two separate projects, varies in quality between amazing conductor beats and killer features to
the most boring trap beats I’ve heard in years with the most phoned in features. |

Can?t properly describe what a surprise this record was. Dynamic delivery, fun (sometimes absolutely GRIMY) beats, some hard ass bars. Can?t wait to see what this dude does next. |

Oh man this was a nostalgia voyage. New production is cleaner and you can really hear what the individual
instruments are doing, which is sick, but it definitely lacks the raw bite that made it hit so hard in the first place.
Most of the vocal changes are basically what you’ve heard dude do live on these songs for the last 12 or so
years, for better or for worse.
Love all the little ambient additions in the mix. Drums are 10/10, Riley completely kills it, especially considering
he played basically the same punk beat on every song on the first 3 LPs. Lot of cool shit going on with the bass
as well, which you couldn’t really pick out in the OG mix, aside from maybe the bass line in stare at the sun.
Dustin ranges from absolutely immense to utterly cringe inducing within the album. The most egregious being the
slightly slower “Thrice plays worship music” rendition of the already a little too poppy for my taste title track. I
barely made it through the beginning of that one, but figured i would see the whole record through.
The guest spots are a really cool idea and the selections are very respectable and exciting, but they are limited to
a handful of vocal lines a song; sometimes even only in the background along with Dustin and that seems like a
completely wasted opportunity. Overall, though, this is a very fun trip down memory lane for a very formative
album from my early teens. At the very least check out the new cut of Paper Tigers, it is absolutely insane. |
Lil Yachty Let's Start Here. | 3.0 |
The shape of trap to come. Completely left field while simultaneously being exactly what you?d expect from the sum of its parts. Can?t help but think about how much better this would?ve been with a more capable artist on these crazy instrumentals |

Overall disappointing but that’s probably because I set my expectations so high. Still has some absolute bangers,
but has a lot more straight debaucherous straight rap tracks than I thought he would ever do. Which is fine, but
not really the direction I was hoping he would take. |

Straight up, this is the best this band has ever sounded. Take the mid-career converge and thick his hero is gone influence and finish it off with some healthy atmospheric doom and sludge influence and even a little noise rock and you?ll have this. Nick?s drumming still showcases he?s the best in heavy music right now but the riffs are stronger and more frantic, the lyrical themes are heavier and more thought out, and the vocals sound 10x stronger and more varied than they ever have. This shit fucking rips guys. |
