Yet another talented djent band to add to the ever saturated year of djent releases. Not being as easily accessible as some of its djent brethren like Periphery, this band will probably got lost in the mix of very talented musicians that followed too closely in the footsteps of its peers.

It's easy to want to rate this album a 4-4.5 after listening to the first couple of tracks, they rule. However, once you get into the meat of this album, it becomes a bit stagnant/relies too much on experimentation. This band is really just a heavier Periphery with more going on (sax, leads, breakdowns, rapping, etc). The latter of the two being as wanted as aids on my mouth. Just like with countless albums in existence, this one starts off stellar, declines in the middle, and ends on a high note.

this year has been the year for groove and prog metal of the 7 and 8 string variety, this just is the icing on the cake.

Pretty sick album that shows a lot of potential. Chris Baretto is an insanely talented vocalist and is the source of most of the album's enjoyability. A number of songs are longer than they ought to be, and as a result the album is too long as a whole. Many songs have their creative and memorable moments but then stagnate too much in less interesting metalcor-ish breakdowns or dent riffage. If they duplicated the overall quality this effort and cut the fat, they would have something truly great.

Really, really good - especially after taking some time to get all the nuances of the individual songs. The only thing that I can't stand is the ending of the last song. If you've ever heard a NiN song with a piano part you'll smell the plagiarism from a mile away ;).

This album is fucking fantastic. I had downloaded the free demos before the album, so I thought I kind of had an idea of what was yet to come. In all honesty, I thought it was going to be one of those albums with like 3 great songs, and the rest would be mediocre. But I was absolutely blown out of the water. The riffage, the choruses, the vocals (screaming AND singing), and the solos: everything is so flawless. The technicality of this record is mind-blowing, and you can tell that this band put their all into every single song. Favorites: All Eyes On Earth, Lost In Our Escape, The Little Albert Experiment.
