Raw, sludgy, and pissed off, yet open-minded. For the most part, it's definitely Wrath Pt. II, but it's a fun listen nonetheless. Standout track has to be "Terminally Unique".

Wow, after two disappointing albums Lamb of God gets it right again. Resolution feels like what Wrath should have been, it is dirtier and heavier but finally brings back the riffing that made AotW so good. Ghost Walking is the weakest song on here and Mark Morton at least shows off just how good he has gotten. While there is nothing quite as ungodly heavy as the ending to "Remorse is for the Dead", I couldn't have asked for a better album than this. It is good to hear them keep the sludgy production and doing their own solos because honestly they will never top AotW and everybody knows it.

The rawest production yet, an incredibly sludgy and d-beat opener set's the way for an album hugely similar
to "Wrath". The thrash element is ever more prevalent, and the pace is unrelenting. Once again though, they
have proved that they are incapable of writing an album that matches the songwriting and consistency seen
throughout "Ashes of the Wake".

Lamb Of God's hit and miss discography is clearly trending towards uninspired flavor-of-the-week heavy metal, and Resolution is just another rung in their groovy ladder of mediocrity.

With Resolution, Lamb of God improves slightly from Wrath, but essentially is just doing the same old same old. There are absolutely no stand out tracks, or even tracks on this that are at all different. On a positive note the musicianship is still pretty great, and Randy's vocals sound better than ever.

Great does sum up this album pretty well. While not just jaw dropping, there are definitely some good head banging and blood pumping tracks. This is of course what we expect of LOG. What is a little unexpected however, are the acoustic parts of the CD. These are placed well and used just enough to give some diversity to the album's sound. Randy's vocals are top notch as always, and the guitar work is something to admire. The drumming of Adler keeps the pace nicely and even sets it at times. A very solid album from a band that has not been known to dissappoint, and will not in the future if they continue building off the formula used in Resolution.

ive been a rather dedicated lambof god fan now for years, and after the monster epic that was "wrath" i went into this with some apprehension, expecting dissapointment i was pleasantly surprised. honestly, i cant compare this to any other lamb of god album, i think the continued with the "stripped back" sound of wrath. that was a good move. it paid off, its a brilliant album from start to finish. it may take a couple of listens to really appreciate. but damn, this is a great album!

Lamb of God being Lamb of God, which means the album is generally alright and the riffs are decent, there's some but not that many standout tracks, and teenage fans of this sort of modern American groove/thrash will eat it up. Props to Chris Adler, who gives a stellar drum performance, more often than ever breaking out of his tired "basic-rock-beat-over-weird-DB-pattern" thing and making use of those technical chops he'd always hinted at having.

I was skeptical about this album's early reception here being that most of the ratings were likely coming from die hard fans (the types who would quickly jump on a low quality leak), but this is actually quite good. This is due in large part to the greatly improved and varied guitar work. Yes, some of Resolution actually sounds different for Lamb of God which is probably the best thing that can be said about the record. The increased emphasis on melodic sections also warrants a mention. Unfortunately, the vocals still suck as we've come to expect. In the end, it's nowhere near Ashes/Palaces level, but at the very least it is on par with Sacrament and a hell of a lot better than Wrath.

Upon hearing a proper mix of this album I can safely say that this is the best Lamb of God album since Palaces and Ashes. "Straight For The Sun", "Cheated", and "King Me" are just ridiculously good. This is possibly their most diverse and heaviest record to date.

Lamb of God's first studio album in three years proves that they are still titans of modern metal. While the songs contained provide little deviation from anything heard on Ashes of the Wake onward, the riffs and songwriting are the closest in quality to their 2004 magnum opus. A perfect way to start off metal in 2012.

It leaked already although it 256 kbps, but from the quality I heard its still awesome. Looking forward to hear the true quality of it on the 24th now. I can tell you off the bat it tops wrath, and I after listening to it 10 times through that I think its even equal too if if not better than ashes of the wake. Desolution is my favorite on the album. Some parts of the album remind me of burn the priest as well. So check it out.
