This album's even rawer than before, boasting an ultra-distorted guitar tone, and this time, they really go for a more blunt vibe. War and Pain is simply better; not much here makes you ruin your fucking neck like Voivod or Suck Your Bone. But this album can, at times, still hold its own; its certainly starts off well. Korg?ll the Exterminator's intro ominous and launches into a decent punkish riff. Then there's that evil midsection, and then they start thrashing the fuck out! Fuck Off And Die starts out fast and gets even faster for maximum headbanging mayhem and has a simple and memorable chorus ("FUCK OFF...AND DIIIIE!" Not the most complicated thing in the world, but effective.), but also has awful and childish lyrics. "COME ON, MOVE YOUR ASSHOOOOOLES"...what is this song even supposed to be about? But it's okay, because musically it's fun enough to thrash to. Ripping Headaches is excellent to headbang to, and both Horror and To The Death feature fast, ripping climaxes. The four songs I didn't mention are boring, though, going at the same tempo and not featuring any moving riffs, even if I like the introduction to Thrashing Rage. So while this album has some good stuff, it might be too raw for its own good to some, and is rather inconsistent; a 5:4 good-to-bad track ratio isn't a good sign. Overall, this is the worst of the band's original Snake era, although there are some good tracks.
