ppl don't seem to get that Drake is more about musicianship than he is trying to be an
amazing rapper. He's a great songwriter and he includes so many great subtleties and subtext
in his lyrics plus goddamn the man can make an amazing melody.

Seriously, Drake has always been awesome. This is just more awesome stuff from Drake with only like, two filler songs this time as opposed to the half records worth he normally populates. Word.

Is this even hype anymore? I was the guy sitting on the other side of the fence with Thank Me Later, a well-produced but lame bag of tricks that told me what I needed to know about Drake, but not necessarily what I wanted (a strange position to be in for a pop album, naturally, though I respect the man for chilling the blockbuster climates; sex in layers). So, here; now later: I thank you, Drake, for doing you and doing it better. I'll argue for the fillers, and the occasional cheese that comes with the wine. This is a full course meal of sensual tension that is funny and sad and sexy and stupid and smart. Major props to bringing The Weeknd to everyone's front door.

Didnt quite live up to the album I thought he could have released if he kept "Dreams Money Could Buy" and "Trust Issues", but it's still a great album. I'm liking the vibe he's got going on with the production throughout the album, killer beats only to be weighed down by some of his overdone Drake-ism's and Rick Ross. ralbum needz moar Weeknd

i feel all of you making a stand against drake anti-hype!!! Make your voices heard!!! People need to understand that thank me later really deserved a 3.2 instead of a 2.7 keep fighting the good fight! I did the same thing a few years back with Swan Songs, another victim of the classic: 'oh man, insightful lyrics? entrancing beats? fucking GAY! 1.0-sputnik-machine.'

A ridiculously overrated album containing a confused young man's attempt to decide whether he's 'hard' or 'sweet'. Every hipster on the block will call this shit cake a classic because it's inconsistent enough to called 'conceptual'. Aghhhhhhhh.

I'm surprised: this isn't terrible. Still not my thing at all at all but a lot of the tracks are actually really good. Would be a solid 3 if it didn't drag a bit (the album is a little long and feels bloated) and if Lil' Wayne didn't ruin the two tracks he's featured on. Much better than 'Thank Me Later' (which isn't saying much coming from me: I hated that album).

I really wanted to like this album, he's got an interesting voice, but most importantly, he doesn't just rap
about living a thug life. However, if I have to wade through the usual rap to find gems like Look What You've
Done, than I can't promise I'll give it another listen.

Let me just say that I'm a guy, and I find it funny that pretty much every guy bashes Drake for showing emotion. It's quite ridiculos because everyone feels pain, love, heartache, all the kinds of emotions Drake is expressing in this album. I for one applaud the man for doing so. Take Care is a very personal record that hits home right to the heart. Songs such as "Look What You've Done" really let listeners into Drake's personal life. Yet other tracks such as "Underground Kings" and "HYFR" to name a few showcase the rapping that most people such as myself fell in love with him for. Just about every other track showcases Drake's spectacular voice that woos the ladies. Take Care clocks in at almost 80 minutes, and almost none of that is filler. The only song I didn't like was the last track due to the chick in the background that I found annoying, so it ended on a bad note for me. If the CD was only 17 tracks, I'd give this a 4.5 or possibly even a 5. None the less, a very well produced album that features some hot hits and guest appearances, Take Care is definitely one of the best albums of 2011.
