this is some real shit. production is immense, really dark and smoky but keeps this driving feel that makes it easy for ASAP to roll his well crafted rhymes over. lyrics are the usual fare interjected with incredibly raw emotional moments. this dude can fucking RAP. and his flow holy shit. Hodgy Beats calls him ASAP Copy. Its probably cuz hes basically a tons better version of Hodgy.
I really loved the production on here, but out of the 16 tracks on this I probably only loved half the record. Along with this, the lyricism on here is awful, but if you can see past that on some of these tracks, the A$AP crew definitely has an interesting take on mainstream hip-hop, I'd just like them to work more on their vocal delivery and lyrics.
A definitive example of an amazing producer collaborating with a mediocre rapper. Yes there are moments of brilliance, but Live.Love.A$AP really suffers from it's lack of lyrical substance. Sure it flows, but it eventually flows into the ground...becoming stagnant. Still, for all my cynicism this music is probably really good to drive to, or get high to.
