Nickelback have got to be the most overhated band on the face of the Earth. Yeah, their music is boring and formulaic, but it's more tuneful than 90% of the metalcore and warbling electronic crap garnening rave reviews on this site. Tell me how your favorite modern metal or "post dubstep" artist is really any deeper or more talented than Nickelback, because I really wanna know.

It's Nickelback. Most people either love them or hate them. I'm of the opinion that they are a decent rock band held back by obvious fillers that will get them laid such as all of the ballads except Lullaby. It's still a decent record and Kroger is a decent singer, even though he could come up with better lyrics. Seriously, we get it. You like to fuck chicks.

I have to admit, I've always been a bit of a closet Nickelback fan. They aren't as bad as everyone says. In fact most people hate them because of their mainstream popularity which is fucking retarded in my opinion. I'm actually ashamed to call myself anything of a fan after this album. It is very generic and seems to have no common idea throughout. Party anthems like "Bottoms Up" have no business being followed by songs like "When We Stand Together". Any good producer would know this and correct it. Basically just another made for money radio record that has more than enough of its share of radio ballads and generic songs about drinking and sex. I will give them credit however for the nice and heavy instrumentation of songs like "Bottoms Up" and "This Means War" that make them enjoyable. You get what you expect with this band so everyone just needs to accept that and quit bitching about it because there's nothing that can be done when too many people like them. However, I will say that those who absolutely love this band honestly do not know music, but those who hate them won't change their mind either.

"Here and Now" is a good way to apologize for their previous effort, but is still just additional evidence that Nickelback only have the potential of being nothing more than a decent rock band.

I love music loud, combine that with Chad Kroeger's voice and a bottle of Jim Beam, you'll find me the following morning waking up on the media room floor covered in my own vomit. I'm not sure when Nickelback created a mob willing to chase them around with pitchforks, and it's a shame because throw some Nickelback on in the right environment and you'll have everyone chanting lyrics religiously. "Here and Now" is definitely not Nickelbacks best album, but it has a place. "When We Stand Together" is the token feel good Nickelback song, likely to be the most popular. The votes here are disgraceful and frankly, you can go get fucked! Sheep..

Giving this shit a classic rating in order to be witty and ironic is so fucking retarded I can't even explain it. Like, giving a Limp Bizkit or Lil B record a 5 is something I can totally understand. But this shit? Fuck you. It's not humorously ironic when there's nothing even slightly endearing about the band. If I saw Chad Kroeger get shot in front of me, I would take my time calling for an ambulance.

Streamed the whole thing on iTunes.. In my opinion...it's kinda lame, uninspired, and very forgettable for the most part but w. a few decent moments scattered across the record... So in other words.. a typical Nickelback album.. Instrumentation actually is pretty decent on some of the heavier tracks... But as usual, the tracks have little to no variation which spoils the actual value and quality of the record.. They would probably be better off if they didn't try to sound like anything, and just wrote.. Because they've shown very little growth in their sound over their past few albums... So for those of you who were considering giving it a listen.. It's probably better that you don't.
