Probably the best movie soundtrack I have ever heard and doesn't get less amazing when only listening to the soundtrack like you would to an album. In my opinion also better than Spirited Away

miyazaki's best, tho perhaps not hisaishi's. as iconic as tracks like legend of ashitaka and demon god are the same melody is used in too many variations and it could have used a few more epic themes

As Starchild2242 has already pointed out, it is impossible to entirely separate the movie and the soundtrack from each other, especially if we are talking about such a perfect creation. But this soundtrack is really special, as I felt an intense emotional touch from even the very-very beginning. Unforgettable experience.

15 seconds into the soundtrack and I start crying. This made me realize just how much I appreciate and admire this film, and how beautiful and touching the soundtrack is. It's hard for me to disconnect the two, but whether as a whole, or as a film and an album, this is a masterpiece.
