2.5 just for some kinda cool beats and "Chuch" is aight but seriously the rapping is pretty
shitty. "Now if you niggas rly fuckin' wit meee then i no y'all gon let me do meeeeeeeee"
sounds like some seventh grade poser shit
The rapping on here itself isn't anything to write home about, but the real appeal
about this mixtape is how unique the production is. These textures are as lite as diet
yogurt and soft as a cloud, and the atmosphere is absolute lithium; resulting in
some of the most serene ambient beats in the independent hip hop scene. This is
impressively engineered for an indie release, and the production value sounds of a
much more professional quality than any of Main Attrakionz comtemporary MCs.
They don't sound like they're rapping over these atmospheric beats, because the
songs on the mixtape are layered so cohesively that it sounds like they're
completely surrounded and immersed within the music like they should. This gives
this mixtape a level of finesse that shows great potential for Main Attrakionz and
makes it an exemplary release for other aspiring idependent rappers/producers in
hip hop's internet age.
I'm sick and tired of feelin' sick and tired. Pretty tight mixtape, some of the beats and
rapping just kind of sticks out in the worst way and feels obnoxious, and while most of the
rapping is just this amazing flow-of-consciousness shit, some of it is just too ehhh. Some
of the flows are the best part, though. It literally feels like clouds of thoughts coming
out of his mouth over these beats, but some tracks have some of the vocals mixed way too
high to have that "cloud rap washing over you" effect that Spaceghostpurrp and most Clams
Casino stuff can have. Chuch is undoubtedly the best song.
