i agree with lospokey on the idea that they improved on their songwriting skills here. however,
the production is nothing like Phases. this album sounds plastic and lacks a bit in power.
unfortunately it detracted from my experience enough to take off .5 from my score, despite the
improved songwriting. still some quality brutal death metal though.

You can tell Decaying Purity have matured as musicians on this, their sophomore effort. Improved songwriting, originality(yeah, I said it), and extremely better song structures. This is one of my Top 10 Brutal Death albums of 2011, I recommended giving it a listen if you fancy this genre.
