I'm really digging the rap elements, and the lyrics are heartbreakingly beautiful/personal. I honestly believe that this album is the definition of Blue October as a band.

Lyrically hit and miss, musically here and there, and emotionally overwhelming

There are few bands out there that truly make me smile whenever I listen to them. Blue October, from their start, have been fantastic, and this album, is their best effort yet. Sure, it's not perfect, I would much rather have the rap section taken out of the title track, but that doesn't take away from the album as a whole. The concept is, although sad, still beautiful. From start to finish, I didn't find a dull moment; they experiment with their sound with every song, and never really fail at finding something that doesn't work. I truly hope Blue October grows from this album, and all their future releases are even better. The best album of 2011 so far, and it's close to the end of the year, so maybe even the best.

"Any Man In America" the 6th studio album released by Blue October and definitely one of their best. Lead singer Justin Furstenfeld sends you on a . Furstenfeld is not only an incredible singer, but also an amazing songwriter, and his talents really shine on this release. A combination of grunge, folk, indie rock, blues and straight ahead rock and roll characterize the band's sound, and the combination is perfect. "The Feel Again (Stay)" touches on the deterioration of Furstenfeld's marriage and his separation from his daughter. The fact that you can actually FEEL his pain is a tribute to his ability as a vocalist and artist. The instrumentals add a texture that makes the song a dynamic masterpiece with pure emotion. "The Chills" is an up tempo song that has a catchy melody with hooks that grab you and reel you in. The guitars simply rock, the drums are amazing, and it's just an awesome tune. "The Follow Through" is the perfect song to end out the album. With a beautiful a beautiful start and synths best described as elegant, it brings everything together giving you a sense of closure to the story of Furstenfeld's life. Overall this is a great recoding; the production is crisp and fresh, every song is incredible, and you'll feel as if your soul has been touched. Long time fans of the band will love this, and I highly recommend it to anyone.

This album is just as or more emotional than previous albums. Furstenfeld went out on a limb to put the rap element into this album, and it certainley worked. The song AMIA.. does sound a little cheesy but its certainly more words from the heart than to be a musical piece. Other songs nothing less than a 4.5.... This may be one of the best by this band, and that may be due to being on their own label and having that freedom to explore

Blue october's lead singer Justin Furstenfeld once again vocalizes the pain he's experienced in the past few years, including a divorce and losing the custody of his daughter Blue Reed.rEach song has a raw rock sound, with raw lyricism. rSongs to Check Out:rThe Money TreerThe Flight (Lincoln to Minneapolis)
