THEY'RE BACK!! So far 'Earth on Hell' is my favorite track. Superb thrash song right there.
'I'm Alive', 'The Devil You Know', and 'In The End' are awesome songs as well. So glad Joey

This is beast of an album, absolutely stellar and I don't see how anyone could expect a modern Anthrax record to be any better. Remembering and growing up with these guys from back in Metal's glory years, It''s an absolute pleasure to hear that (like me) there still capable of thrasing the underwear off most bands almost half their age!!

Yeah deez boiz always liked to partayyyyy m/ This is indeed more buttmetal with thrash riffs from time to time. It does riff and whatnot, but the real deal is returning singer Joey Belladonna - who brings da fun. It'd better be consumed in small doses though, the over-the-top-slash-epic-dude vibe is too much.

Joey's back, and so is the band's inspiration. We've Come For You All was good but not the proper solution to their problems, but Worship Music restores much of their former glory with a modern yet traditional thrash record. The album is lacking fast paced material outside of the first three tracks, but the album is loaded with gems. Rob Caggiano stands out this time around, laying down technical yet melodic solos and meaty riffs, Joey's lower register has aged like wine, and the rhythm section pounds and pummels with passion. The material here is varied from chuggers ("The Giant" and "The Devil You Know") to thrashers ("Fight Em' Til You Can't" and "Earth On Hell") to slow-tempoed monoliths ("In The End" and "The Constant"). Full of late career highlights ("In The End" may be the crowned jewel here) and youthful energy, Worship Music is not just one of their best albums but one of the best thrash records of recent times. Well done Anthrax.

It's a nice comeback for Anthrax, but in no way comparable to the band's 80's output. This album is only recommendable for the band's faithful followers (specifically those into the Belladonna Era). It's truly unessential, since it lacks several elements that the earlier albums had. Nevertheless, it's an improvement over the mediocrity of the Bush albums.

'Worship Music' is Anthrax's best album in a long while, as it rivals even their best material. Combining the speed and fury of classic Anthrax with catchy melodies in songs like "Fight 'em 'til You Can't" and "The Devil You Know", this is definitely a contender for one of the best metal albums of the year, and it is the album Anthrax needed to make.

Some of these songs are so boring and dull, while a few songs are great to listen to. Still sound like Bush-era Anthrax, but it's great to hear Joey behind the mic again. Solid stuff for sure. I'll probably give it a couple more spins though, rating might rise or drop.

Album is surprisingly solid, and I don't really hear any "nu-metal" style riffing. The choruses could be toned down a bit but overal it's great. I would suggest this album to fans of both the joey and john bush eras.

While Anthrax are not my favorite thrash metal band in the world they have released some albums I enjoy such as Fistful of Metal, Spreading the Disease, and Among the Living. All three albums are about equal in quality, good stuff but nothing that will really blow you away. State of Euphoria was an album that really bored me, while it wasn't good it could have been a lot worse. Persistence of Time was just "okay", it had a few songs that I liked.rI really lost interest in Anthrax's music when John Bush came along, the music Anthrax made with Bush was just really bland, boring, and uninspired. The songs found on Worship Music can be described similar to the John Bush fronted studio albums, uninteresting. The riffs are pretty bland and at times sound nu-metalish, Joey Belladonna's vocals are pretty disappointing and at times I question if Scott Ian was really the one singing. For example, the chorus in the single Fight 'Em Till You Can't sounds like something freaking Trivium or any generic pop metal(core) band would do. Unless you're a really die hard fan of Anthrax or a delusional fan boy, I suggest you avoid this album.

I don't get everyone's high approval of this album. Cheesy choruses and dull, uninspired, almost nu-metal riffs make this even worse than the last one. The one thing I do like is Joey's vocals. Most of the time.
