Empire! Empire! finally comes back around after the monstrous success of "What it Takes to move Forward" and releases their best EP yet. The songs are all concise compared the bulk of the band's running times, but they offer just as much emotion as the others. However, the band needs to start experimenting, because their sound is becoming somewhat tiring.
A very nice album musically but honestly, the vocals just kill this for me. I should like them but they just make me go "eeeeeeeew emo" and I LOVE emo. So yeah, these guys get a big "meh" from me.
This release is way more crisp than anything they've done. It's also lyrically on par with everything else they've released, which is what sold me on these guys from the beginning. Honestly one of the most endearing bands to come out in the past few years.
