Tin Machine is one of the most pretentious, uninspired and classless bands in the long history of hard rock. Both self-titled albums draw heavily from the worst traditions of glam, but the compositional level is even lower, and it's fucking *glam* we're talking about!! As if that was not enough, the performance itself stinks so badly that no guitar solos can hide it, no matter how agressive and flashy. Compared to Never Let Me Down and Tonight, Tin Machine is hardly an improvement. In fact, it might be worse.
