Don't give a fuck what the others say about this album. It is Limp Bizkit and without listening is a default 2.5. Rating lowers once you listen to it. I guess all the people on this site trying to 5 this as a joke and the other people rating this high because they actually like this shit forget that Limp Bizkit is now and has always been a shit band. A long hiatus from music doesn't mask the flaws from this horrible album. Fuck this band.

I mean, you gotta give them credit for never changing. Besides, Gold Cobra has some catchy shit on it. Limp Bizkit of 2011 is still exactly like Limp Bizkit in their heyday, somewhere around the year 2000, but that's why nostalgia-loving people like me can appreciate them for what they are - a childishly salacious but, nevertheless, a fairly entertaining outfit.

Not much to say about this one. Another Limp Bizkit album, but with less youthful vigor, angst, and fun. At this point, it's rather pathetic and sad for Fred Durst and crew to be recording this kind of "music." I cannot like this band ironically or straightforwardly; they are objectively awful.

I fucking love how seriously people take this band. Of course they suck. But that doesn't mean that Gold Cobra isn't in Win Galaxy right now. I mean will anyone deny that Macho Man's rap album (God rest his sainted soul) isn't great because it's so awful? On this record, Limp Bizkit has embraced their inherent shittyness and turned it into some sort of meathead masterpiece. There's even a decent song or two.
Seriously, Fred Durst is fucking Skynet.

(12/31/18): {gasp} A Limp Bizkit outing that got rewarded something over a 2.5 from this user, much less a 3? What is this black magic!? Claims of generosity aside, Gold Cobra was honestly the most unironic fun I've ever had listening to an LB record from beginning to end. Musically it hearkened back to the infamous group's established sound unlike Results May Vary, with ensemble dark horse Wes Borland's guitar wizardry being the MVP. Meanwhile, the production values for this 2011 affair were akin to The Unquestionable Truth if the EP was written for stadiums in mind. To add to that, thank Christ these fellows finally managed to put out a full-length that lasted well under an hour long! Light/decent 3.5. Angel recommends: "Gold Cobra," "Get a Life," "Shotgun," "Walking Away," and "Why Try".

What can one say about Gold Cobra? In short, it's an album by Limp Bizkit.rLike on previous albums, there's absolutely no change in style, and not even a sign of maturity. But the thing is, that's exactly what Limp Bizkit is all about, and the only thing that makes them somewhat interesting. Their music is superficial, childish, and enormously stupid, but still quite some fun. Now, this does not make up for the lack of emotion and maturity, but if you give it a chance, you might even like it. (At least for some time)

There isn't too much I can really say about Gold Cobra that hasn't already been said on this page. This is the Limp Bizkit we remember, and it's actually pretty fun to listen too no matter who you are. I enjoyed it to an extent, and that was a surprise to me.
