3.0 good | iamSeraph | May 2nd 11 | interesting and kind of solid deathcore with experiments and poor vocals. more like a 2-2.5 - dunno...in the end they are bearable/listenable.

2.5 average | Alabaster Jones | August 24th 17 | A far cry quality-wise from their technical, blistering, and dark self-titled debut full-length, Hate, Greed, And Death is nevertheless an enjoyable if flawed outing for Here Comes The Kraken. It's much more toned down in terms of technicality and vocal ferocity, with the crazy drum fills and insane double-bass along with the sweeping and occasionally mathy riffs being substituted for a groovier, cleaner sound with some catchy moments to boot. It's decent enough, but the problem here is that the band loses most, if not all, of that defining personality they had on their debut and seem to fade into the backdrop with leagues of bands that they now sound almost exactly alike. It's not bad stuff, as it's pretty fun and has got an infectious moment here or there, but the fact remains that, in a way, you're not hearing Here Comes The Kraken anymore. You're hearing Here Comes The Kraken's band members playing in an All Shall Perish cover band.

2.0 poor | Jared Floryan | September 19th 14 | The Hispanic deathcore band Here Comes the Kraken issued a self-titled album before this record; it was essentially run-of-the-mill deathcore music, though the first album surprisingly carried listenability. Hate, Greed & Death, however, is more of a sophomore slump. Their songwriting abilities had now dwindled bit by bit, and the addition of clean vocals were mainly misplaced. It's clear that the experimentation HCTK was going for sounded good on paper, though the execution just didn't do the trick. The turntablist (thank God for his eventual departure) sometimes makes the formulaic tracks worse.

1.5 very poor | DoABarrelRoll | December 19th 11 | They were an enjoyable, if a generic deathcore band before but now they've added a DJ (for what reason? I have no clue) and clean vocals (for what reason? I have no clue). While before the band was at least giving some form of talent, now it seems that the talent is muddled with horrible song structure, bad clean vocals, and some of the most laughable lyrics out there.

2.0 poor | 7kthulu | June 21st 11 | Generic with awful nu-metal kind of wannabe sound. First album was nice an listenable. Since The Omen EP the band has decreased their quality

1.5 very poor | xandermander | June 8th 11 | LOL are you kidding me? The debut album was very good, but now the Linkin Park style clean vocals and Limp Bizkit style DJ'ing? Is this real life?

2.0 poor | mxrblind | June 1st 11 | Just a couple of memorable moments. You can listen the entire album and you'll remember a couple of parts and/or riffs.

0.0 | ITsHxCTOASTER | April 30th 11 | They claim to be nu-metal now thanks to their addition of a DJ and clean vocals. It just
sounds like terrible deathcore to me though. They sucked before and they suck even harder
now.
