Ever since TBS signed to Warner, everything that TBS used to be has slowly begun to deteriorate with the release of Louder Now. Apparently, now on a major label, the need to produce more songs that are radio friendly is apparent. This may not be so to the band themselves but very much so to their label. While their sound is rockier and does have a lot of "1st time listen" appeal, with the tradeing off of TBS signature, dual vocal singing, and with the dumbing down of their once-renown, witty lyrics, TBS slowly begins their downward spiral into oblivion. 2 Bumps | Bump

well the latest album (louder now) from one of my fav bands was decent. above average, but not quite amazing. let me break it down for you: 1. Whats it feel like to be a ghost- catchy song but the same thing we heard in "where you want to be". th verse, chorus verse, chorus then in to a slow bridge that builds up.. its just nothing new. and i couldnt really understand the meaning of the lyric 2. Liar (it takes one to know one- decent song, but sounds very similar to a song on this same album "miami". the intro to this and the chorus riff in miami are basically the same riffs only in a diff key with harmonizations 3. makedamnsure- great song. very impressed. the energy they put in to the bridge/outro keeps you anticipating it every time you hear the song 4.up against- i dot know why, but i just dont really like it. 5. my blue heaven- this is what i wanted the whole album to be like. not a ballad, but something new from them. they tend to follow the same pattern a lot, and this was out of the ordinary. 6. twenty twenty surgery- my favorite on the album. again, something new, catchy intro riff. could have more up tempo, and it was lyriccaly confusing, but amazing song 7.spin- this song is great for one reason: it is so punk. another great song for tbs 8. divine intervention- decent acoustic song. havent heard one by them since "new american classic". i think the vocals should have been turned up, but thats how they recorded it. 9. miami-good song, just the chorus riff sounds like "liar". great effects in the solo though 10. error operator- a redo of the spiderman 2 soundtrack one. def. spiced it up more.a different sound from them, and a great bridge, but sounds a little bit like "spin" 11. ill let you live- bad effort at a good closer. too long and too boring i think it was worth buying, even if i sounded negative towards it. 2 Bumps | Bump

REVIEW. tonight i will be reviewing taking back Sunday's album "louder now". TAKING BACK SUNDAY IS: Adam Lazzara – lead vocals Fred Mascherino – guitar, vocals Eddie Reyes – guitar Mark O’Connell – drums Matt Rubano – bass SONG REVIEWS. Track 1,what's it feel like to be a ghost?. this song is a favorite of mine with catchy guitar riffs meaningful lyrics lead singer Adam Lazzara show's off his singing talent with his loving voice as he sings a beautiful song that to me resembles friendship or maybe loss of loved one i love this song especially the meaningful chorus. Track 2.Liar (it takes one to know one) once again front man Adam Lazzara shows off his musical talent of this favorite song of 2007 Oct which to me seems like a metaphor of backstabbing from a friend i love this song and it is one that i can relate to multiple times. Track 3. make damn sure. this song is one of my favorite's of 2007 July and Nov. this song to me is a love song and getting to know someone before you spill your guts out then them using that to hurt you later in life this is something that i have experienced as well. this song has meaningful lyrics and awesome guitar riffs. Track 4.up against(blackout) this song has become a favorite of mine as of late 2007 Oct and Dec. this song is a good song and i can relate to this song completely at times which i did try to fit in and as they put it "feel the jet lag" of trying to do so i love this song and the lyrics and drums of this song as well as others that will come later in this review. Track 5.my blue heaven. this song is my favorite of 2007 June July and Aug i had this song recomendded to me by a friend and i checked it out and immediately brought the Cd afterwards. i love this song the lyrics the drums the whole bit it is an amazing song Lazzara really shines in this song and this song i hope will be remembered by many as i know it will be by me. Track 6.Twenty-Twenty surgery. this song is a favorite of mine of 2007 July and Sept with the amazing opening guitar riff and excellent drums then with Lazzaras amazing voice this makes it the perfect song to "mosh" too. Track 7.spin. spin is an amazing song but with the opening resembling my chemical romances "house of wolves" which is a hated song of mine as well as other mcr work. anyway but this song surpasses anything that mcr has done in the past and the songs amazing riffs lyrics. i love it. Track 8.divine intervention. even though there are more favorite songs of mine from tbs none the less divine intervention is a good song and should get it's moment of fame. Track 9.Miami. this song is clearly a love song a hidden one at best and mistaken by many as simple bad grammar but it is more than that this is a favorite of mine as one week of 2007 Oct with it's amazing solo and Lazzara's voice it is just an amazing song. Track 10.error operator. error operator is an amazing song with it's punk beginning with amazing drums and lyrics this is a favorite of 2007 Oct Nov and Dec this is an awesome song and i love it as wel as many other tbs fans track 11.I'll let you live. i love this song it is amazing with it's determination of getting it's moment of fame it has beyond no doubt succeeded this goal and with the amazing guitar angry lyrics and awesome drums this is beyond a doubt an amazing song. Track 12.brooklyn. this song is really an awesome song and i know i've said this about every song but there's something about that just jumps out at me and says i'm perfect now i nam not going to say that this song does not have it's flaws because Lazzara's voice is somehow not as good as in other tracks such as "what's it feel like to be a ghost?" and "makedamnsure" but this song is a good one. Track 13.sleep. this song is about front man Lazzara's drug addiction and his fight with the side effects after he quit this is a good song and an emotional song with the acoustic guitar at the beginning then breaking out with the full band i love this song. Bump

Taking Back Sunday's style drastically changed with this album. I expected something very different when I first got the album. Bump

louder now is a product of pure genius. the range of tones and vocals from the first track what's it feel like to be a ghost set the tone for the other awesome tracks from the fan favorite Makedamnsure to the little known Miami the whole album must arguably make the top 15 albums of the past decade. so if haven't heard turn it up and make it louder now!!! Bump

After 'Where You Want to Be', I didn't have much hope for good ol' Taking Back Sunday. After losing their original guitarist and bassist, TBS's originality and song quality seemed to be running on E. That is, until Louder Now reared its head. What emerged from the studio is a new, glitzier, heavier, and dare I say... cooler... TBS. The songs are mixed to perfection, the vocals are classic, yet refined, and the riffs and band-work is top notch. While 'Louder Now' is not their crowning achievement (That would be the classic 'Tell All Your Friends"; TBS suprise and entertain again with a brilliant piece of work. BUY BUY BUY Bump
