When Alcest combined uplifting themes with black metal music it was an unarguable success. This thing on the other hand is some kind of unfocused mess with poorly written passages throughout an album which can't seem to decide if it wants to be post rock or raw black metal. Boring, awkward and totally lacking in terms of dynamics.
