I rate albums 5 after 1 day all the timerBut in all honesty, this is merely good and nothing more. Panda Bear attempts to take the sprawling mess of Animal Collective and wrap it into something resembling cohesiveness. And it works to a certain degree, except the original foundation was never that good to begin with, thus the re-interpretation suffers as a result. I see no second coming of Christ here

People are gonna come at this album expecting to "get" Animal Collective/Panda Bear, and its unfortunate that this doesn't do anything to convert the 'non-believers' that Merriweather Post Pavilion didn't already do. However, its still a great album, only marred by its perhaps too light nature. Also, "Drone" is kind of annoying (and yes, I get it).

Tomboy blew my mind completely upon my first listen, then it quickly lost its excitement. Luckily these songs have replay value. Could use some song dynamic I guess. Surfer's Hymn is truly incredible though, perfect song imo.

There are some good songs here but some of the effects really take away from the songs and even annoy me to the point of turning this album off and listening to Person Pitch.

pretty excellent album, not as demanding or as indept as Person Pitch was. I am kinda missing the 12 minute epics, either way its a good addition to the Animal Collective/Side Project pile of albums.
