this is a great album, which holds a pretty steady standard throughout (spare a few uninteresting moments that I wish were briefer). standout track is easily The Mouth of Judas, which could be one of the best tracks they've ever put out. it's not a disappointment, but it's not mindblowing either.ralso hawks do you have to bring up Marrow wherever you go? we're listening to Primordial ffs :T
I had given up on Primoridal after "Storm Before Calm", but I had been reading good things about this album and Amazon had it for $5.99 so I figured "what the hell" and bought it. I'm glad I did. This album is more exciting, less two-dimensional, and has a bit of that "Storm..." flair that I had been missing.
this finally leaked, and guess what? it is just as fucking amazing as you expected it to be. also, noctus: hawks brings up marrow because it was boring and you're weird for 5'ing it
Excellent album again. Might not replace TTND in my heart but it really is fantastic. And I guess I totally understand where Hawks is coming from, having been disappointed by Agalloch last year as well, the fact that this album is great is such a relief.
As a Primordial fanboy, I must say that I'm extremely pleased with this. Won't end up being as good as the 2 albums that came before this, but that really doesn't mean anything considering all Primordial is great in some way. Just happy I wasn't let down by this like I was last year with Agalloch.
Listened to it this morning. Still listening to it though. Second time around now, and I must say that it is very good! It has a good chance that this will be a 4.5
