All Eyez On Me have me divided to a great extent, as much as I enjoy it I cant help but feel the tragic fact that while on Death Row, Pac seemed to almost forget where he's coming from, here is the intellectual, introspective, aware of society aspect of him rugged under the carpet and instead we get an all thugged out, celebration of the gangsta/ lavish lifestyle dubble album. with the fact that I love the previous " Me against the world" Pac and to some degree feel that this is an inaccuret portrait of the man aside, I conclude that this is a great set of music, with undoubtedly some of Mr:shakurs greatest highlights such as: " Only God Can Judge Me" " Life Goes On" " I Aint Mad At Cha "

The first disc is awesome, but the second disc is boring. Seriously. Despite all the hits throughout the album, Tupac fails to retain my attention throughout the 2.2 hour long album, especially on the back end, and when there is attentiveness on the back end, it's usually disdainful. The first disc is really good, containing Tupac's angry rantings and soulful musings, and the second disc is so meh. 3.2/5

With Rap's first double-album, there are bound to be a few filler tracks kicking around. However, for the most part, Shakur's All Eyez on Me does a fantastic job of using Pac's obviously angry lyrics and coupling them with playable, groovy beats. The production on this is excellent, and this double holds a fair number of 2Pacs classics.

Unlike Me Against the World, All Eyez on Me is not the poetic and reflective look on ghetto life. All Eyez on Me is more about being a "thug," and living life without regard to others or to consequences. This might be why Tupac met an untimely demise, which adds some historical significance to this album, but overall this album is not as strong as Me Against the World. It lacks the depth and creativity of its predecessor. This album is far from being completely devoid of depth, it just concentrates more on the beat production and lyrics portraying the thug life. For that it is plagued by the usual gangsta cliches, but despite this it is still a great album for rap enthusiasts.

inevitably a lot of filler on a 2 hour album, but generally the beats/effects are good, and enough jewels exist among the rubble to keep it going. highlights are the powerful life goes on followed by only god can judge me, with special mentions in rather be ya nigga and thug passion

Man this was huge when it came out, but All Eyez on Me is a bit overblown, more important for the impact it had on the rap game following it's release. This was either the first or one of the first double rap albums, and it's certainly not without it's filler. It plagues most of the second disc, with alot of aimless stuff. It's understandable, as Pac was very bitter about his time in jail, and was obsessed with either settling scores with enemies or sleeping with as many girls as he possibly could, as one probably would. It does get tiring after a run of two stacked discs, with maybe 18 of the 27 songs being worthwhile. There are still some incredible classics on here, too many to name, and while Pac may seem shallow on the surface (especially compared to his previous records), he is still a solid emcee, with subtle descriptive lyrics, and still offers plenty of introspection on a number of tracks, including the dark and creative Wonder why they call U Bitch. A hugely influential album that really doesn't live up to the hype as a whole, but features many of 2Pac's best and most iconic songs.
