This really clicked for me on my 5th listen through. Really, really good stuff that bounces from musique concrete to downtempo to minimal techno and back again.

Organic-sounding electronic music, very well-constructed ("Keep Me There" or the t/t) even though some moments are frankly boring (can't even recall these mofos). Overall an interesting record that nonetheless fails to entirely grasp me. Edit: I'm still dumb, but I clearly was dumber before. The record's weirdness is starting to grow on me, nuances being clearer than ever, yet evidently more obscure than in, say, 2 years' time.

This album when looked at it for one play-though, it doesn't showcase how Jaar takes minimal and creates looped bangers- in a crowded dancefloor where more is more, the opposite is this album. Part ambient, part techno all experimental until more create at the level displayed on Space Is Only Noise.

I just don't understand. The title track sounds so stupid and the rest of the album isn't much better. I only really liked the first three songs.

This is electronic music yes, but as said previously, it has a very organic feel to it. Jaar
uses lots of samples, even in certain parts it includes odd clacking noises (sounds like
they were made with his mouth), pages being flipped through in a book, and of course, live
instrumentation. But even though there are a lot of natural sounds, Jaar washes over them
with other sounds and dissonance to the point where it feels degraded. This album almost
feels ancient at times, yet it is clearly not. This album really stresses what is in between
the notes; you get lost in the music and it pushes the boundaries of your imagination.
