| 2.5 average | Robby Roark (The Sludge) | November 27th 06 | Nickelb... I mean, Hinder are by no means original in any shape way or form. Basically built by greedy record companies to play a certain 'it' sound for the mainstream audience. After 'Get Stoned' gathered a bit of property among hard rock listeners, 'Lips Of An Angel' took the country by storm with it's cliche lyrics of cheating on a woman and ballad like guitars.
Breaking Ben... sorry, Hinder pretty much showed they're a one trick pony, although the album isn't completly dead. Some depth was actually a surprise among the instrumental position, notabally the guitar writing. Vocals aren't too easy on the ears, but fits what kind of music being played, but the over the top cliched lyrics ruins the whole experience. Homecomming Queen and Get Stoned are perfect examples on the lyrical untalent. Save the best for Better Than Me though, similar to Lips Of An Angel, just a more serious hook to the song.
Seeth.... oops, Hinder doesn't break new ground, but does show promise through their musicianship. Recommened to basically Acey, ha. (As well as anyone wanting to get their fix 'til the next Nickelback album)

| 3.5 great | elbeast120 | September 24th 07 | I'm actually sort of suprised to see so many negative reviews of this album. While I didn't expect it to earn perfect marks, it certainly has its share of catchy songs that make it a fun album to listen to...which in the end is all that matters. I'd imagine that the majority of the bad reviews are from scene kids who listen to nothing other than morbidly dark and depressing, bombastic balls of nothingness, and adults who are too "mature" to like this sort of music. It vaguely reminds me of Aerosmith and really is nowhere near as bad as people seem to be claiming...

| 1.0 awful | clairvoyant | February 16th 07 | What can I say, there really isn't anything good about this cd. Usually on very weak albums I can at least complement some guitar work, some melodies, or some solid drumming. None of that is on here. Bliss is quite possibly the worst, from the HORRIBLY bland lyrics and terribly generic riffs and basslines, Hinder offers absolutely nothing to modern music. Lips of an Angel makes an effort to show off some guitar work in the middle and then have a big ending, but it fails miserably. I just don't understand how people can enjoy this terrible band that tries to make "music".

| 1.5 very poor | Davey Boy STAFF | April 9th 09 | Deserving the negative critical response they have received, Hinder perform simple and dull pieces that remind one of a 3rd rate 1980's hair band. This is evident from the very beginning of this one-trick pony debut as the music performed here is so mind-numbingly simple that there is no point even attempting to listen for any kind of variation. When they do attempt some variety on 'Room 21', the band show their true colors and completely botch it. Furthermore, the lyrics contained on this LP range from repetitively themed to sexist! Recommended Tracks: Lips Of An Angel & Shoulda.

| 1.5 very poor | ChaosInACan | April 16th 08 | This---album---blows. Let me explain, Hinder tries wayyyy too hard to be a classic rock/early grunge band and just absolutly flops. The album "Extreme Behavior" has no redeaming value and these stories about fans going to extreme lengths to see them are completly sickening. This is hands down one of the worst albums I've ever heard.

| 1.0 awful | Nerrt45 | July 9th 07 | That "Lips of an Angel" was a massive hit is very disappointing. I'm glad I'm not forced to listen to Top 40 radio. What about the rest of the album? A friend of mine was playing it recently...and I don't remember a single thing. For a music lover who likes to find the good in most bands, that's as condemning an analysis as I can give...
