A Detroit Djent/Hardcore band that makes good use of its Drop G tuning including a creative breakdown here and there but at the same time gets repetitive. If you like Volumes, Bermuda, and Vildjharta this is a worthwhile listen.
Rooks are simple; it's in this simplicity though that helps them out so much. Infinite I is so angry, it transcends itself into the listener and just manages to grab you, making it the ultimate listen for people like me. I can understand that their creativity level is low and that they're talent as musicians doesn't really get too shine to bright, (the drummer is a beast, though), but within those little opportunities shows that they can be a little more than what they express here. In the end though I completely dug this, it's just one of the more aggressive, entertaining EP's I've had a chance to listen too in quite some time.
Sounds like generic deathcore with a few djenty/groove style riffs and extremely boring hardcore style shouted vocals. Sound is very down-tuned and becomes repetitive quickly.
