Schulze's Irrlicht manages to achieve what Tangerine Dream's masterpiece, Zeit, only approaches. While Zeit's movements are slow, inhumanly extended both in time and space, like those of the planets and galaxies, but still finite, Irrlicht stands still, beyond perception, a perfect monument that existed long before the universe formed, and will exist long after its death.
