FFAF actually still have it in them to write decent material, colour me surprised. Whether or not this rediscovered knack for hooks will work on a full length remains to be seen, but The Young And Defenseless represents 15-20 minutes of unbridled fun
I have a soft spot for this band. However ever since Hours broke my heart and then stitched it up some-odd years ago, this band has been going downhill and fast. So fast that I never saw them coming back with anything worth listening to ever again. The Young And Defenseless isn't a grand return to form in any way or shape, however it is very nice to hear Matthew Davies' voice backed with some inspiration for once.
