Sometimes i remember the times of 2006-2007, seeing myself as an Emo boy with particular problems of self-esteem and self-assertion. And when i listen to a record like "When Broken Is Easily Fixed" this is even more concrete. The lyrics and melodies are absurdly emotional and with the definitive face of what was the Emo music at the beginning of the 21st Century. Always good to revisit songs and childhood memories and see how much you have evolved. I'll always carry bands like Silverstein for life because of this.

I can honestly say that this is my least favorite album of all time. I tried very hard to like this, seeing as my friends kept praising it. I could hardly sit through it the first time, and it just got worse from there. Sure the music is a little more technical than a lot of screamo, but it's still generic as hell and the lyrics and vocals are abysmal. Plus, the slow songs are unbelievably boring. Please don't buy this.

What do you want me to do here, really? Silverstein are a rather bland pop punk band, with hardcore influences, much in the vein of Hawthorne Heights. While they are slightly better than their contemporaries, it still sounds like a watered down version of Atreyu, aka its watered down suck. That does help the album slightly, as it isn't in your face suck. It's just bad lyricism (cliched and rather shoddy writing overall) and mediocre instrumentation combined with vomit-inducing vocals.

How Alt. Press didnt jump all over this instead of MCR and Hawthorne heights is beyond me, this album shows us how much potential Silverstein has.

A slightly commendable debut by this Canadian post-hardcore band. Although the screams delivered by Silverstein frontman Shane Told dip into weak sauce at points - and this ain't helped by the melodramatic lyrics - and the instrumentation can be a bit too same-y, the rest of When Broken Is Easily Fixed deserves a tad bit more credit than people give it.
