Pitchfork said this was one of the best ambient albums ever made, but I'm just kind of annoyed with it. Super glitch-oriented sound that's more annoying than you'd expect it to be.

Essential album if only for "Do While", essentially a successful variant on "The Disintegration Loops"; a 25 minute minimalist ambient piece based on a short segment and minimal percussion that hangs in a state of suspension and trasforms as it loops for the entire duration of the track. The illusionary static nature of the piece as well as its purpose strongly echo in its aftertaste; I can't seem to recall two instances in which the track sounded exactly the same or completely different. The remaining tracks are unfortunately not as essential but adequately accompany the opener and its final 6-minute reprise.
