Featuring poor production quality, sub-par vocals, terrible lyricism and repetitive instrumentation. Black Veil Brides has thrown forth a debut EP that is not only immature, but has little to distinguish itself from the majority of music in its genre, with its few saving graces being the occasional catchy guitar moments and the bonus track "The Gunsling".
Better than the album that followed it, this contains all their best songs in their most primal form, including Knives And Pens BEFORE it was butchered
I love Black Veil Brides & their first EP, 'Sex & Hollywood' really had a massive impact on the fame they have now, worldwide. This EP is a raw energy blasting album & was very fresh on the Rock & Roll music scene. They make amazing music & the best song on the EP in my opinion in 'The Gunsling'. The theatrics are otherworldly & it is peppered with slight operatics in there. Along with Andy's angelic rock star vioce- Black Veil Brides really have IT.
