lololololol every song sounds the same, and its ridiculous to hear these old men still crying about how people make them feel so sad. it baffles me to understand why Korn can't just grow the fuck up and forget who they were.

I have always been a huge fan of koRn. I didn't really like their last album, but I would
give the band the benefit of the doubt and give this one a shot.
This album reminds me of Liz Phair's transformative 2003 self-titled LP. Much like that
album, Korn goes the way of re-invention, and we all reap the benefits. Gone are the
complicated time signatures and 12 minute jazz-interludes. Out with the old, in with the
nu!

Well I don't think, that this album is some piece of shit. Actually I think that it's very good. Why is everyone expecting some masterpiece? Nu-metal is dying and they fight for keeping him alive...Iron Maiden is the same music for...30 years? I like this piece.

This is horrible. At least their discography up to the last album was a typical descent into mediocrity, and eventually shit. But here, they're actually putting forth a strong effort - and it's even worse! They are forcing a style they had SIXTEEN YEARS AGO and it's not working - of course it's not, how can it? The idea that anybody DOES think it works is a fucking joke. Everything that made their first album great, the intensity, the songwriting, the unrelenting darkness, this album has none of. So does it have any good qualities of its own? Does it fuck. It's a postured piece of shit, and frankly I'd rather listen to the new Creed.
...okay that was low, I take that back. But still, it's pretty awful.

Korn goes back to their roots, which really isn't saying much considering their old music is shit. Stay away from this album at all costs.

Korn recruit Ross Robinson for the first time since 1996 and create their best album in years. In a career filled with mediocrity, they actually managed to go back to their roots on this one to create an album worth listening to again. Jonathan Davis actually sounds convincing like he did on the first 2 records, the riffs are heavy, Fieldy's bass isnt as annoying, and new drummer Ray Luzier proves to be a worthy replacement to David Silveria behind the kit.

"WhY dOnT yOu LeAvE mE aLoNE" is such a unintentional parody of the genre. Ironically Korn III's biggest crime is how unmemorable it is. in fact this is a Korn album i bet a lot of people forgot even existed and for good reason. Korn here sound as washed up as the producer of the album

Revisiting the past can make for both thrilling and predictable results; in nu metal band Korn's case, however, it is moreso the latter than it actually should be the former. What Korn III: Remember Who You Are amounts to is a collection of rehashed, aggressive ideas which were organic and better-executed back when it was still the 1990s, and this also means that - instead of moving on and growing a pair - lead vocalist Jonathan Davis has nothing else to whine about. Do I sound rude? Yeah, though it's also a little justified once you really start taking things into account here. Thank the lord that The Paradigm Shift saw these guys managing to right some of the wrongs found throughout this otherwise passable album.

The lack of song structure and the stale sound aside, this is a terrible album made for a terrible purpose. Nothing about this album sounds genuine. The title is a complete joke which is literally a statement of how desperate the band is trying to achieve their old sound. And then their next album is a dubstep album. If all of this was a giant joke, then ha ha. Otherwise, Korn has become the biggest joke in music.

Overtime, this album grows on me a lot & throughly enjoy the music played when in the right mood. rSadly, the lyrics are a vast glaring weakness on this album, & I would've honestly preferred no-vocals & vocal scatting more often than the weak lyrics offered (disguised in an otherwise good vocal performance).

I think KoRn should forget about 'going back to their roots', and maybe just focus on writing some great material again. I don't see how they can really go back to their roots anyway without Head and David.
Remember all those clips on 'Deuce' talking about how Head and Munky are like guitar soulmates and they compliment and need each other? And on 'Who then now, bitches' how they said "No one in this band is shit without all the other guys"? Well, they weren't lying. Munky held it together (just) for a while with SYOTOS and Untitled, creating some worthwhile tunes, but I think he's pretty much done all he can by himself.
This album was trying to rely wholly on being raw and emotional to be successful, but to me, it just seemed really forced. I didn't believe Jon's crying and sobbing and screaming, and more importantly the music surrounding it didn't really make me want to listen anyway. Remember how awesome the whole sound (guitars, drums, bass) of Kill You was? Now THAT was something for Jon to scream over, and it all seemed real, and huge, and just damn cool.
There's so much more I could say, and if anyone read all this I applaud your attention span, but I'll sum it up by saying - KoRn will always be my favourite band of all time, but until they can be the amazing band they used to be, I think they should just hold off releasing more albums (at least under the name KoRn), and we should just be content listening to the ones that made us love them so much in the first place.

A nostalgic release for me being that Korn is one of those bands I grew up with. They had alot to prove with this latest record and it delivers just enough old school riffage, and catchy hooks to keep their heads above water, but this isin't going to change anyone's mind about them. Korn are a cursed band, I can't see them progressing much more than they already have..

Better than anything they have done since issues. They have brought back their old sound (much of the album sounds similar to Korn and Life is Peachy) with a lot of Untouchables sounding choruses. Not better than their first four albums, but i am way more than satisfied with this album.
