Hey guys, I don't know anything about this band. Can somebody write a review for this album so I can get an idea what they sound like?

Despite their below mediocre debut. Attack Attack! come back re-energized with a new singer and attitude with their sophomore release. Instrumentally the music has not progressed much. Maybe it's just the fact they sound more like an actual band worthy of the label of post-hardcore, or maybe it's the drastically improved vocals. But don't write Attack Attack! of yet. And for the love of god don't rate this a one, and base the rating of pure hatred off one or two songs you may have heard on their myspace. That's just childish.

Attack Attack! improve over their last record but that’s not saying much. Album is average at best with horrific cleans and guitarists that play maybe a total of 3 notes on the whole record.

Whatever promising improvements Attack Attack's self titled had based on the early previews are completely destroyed when the full course album comes into play. The band has strange moments of catchy brilliance-only to lead into their (at this point signature) incredibly stupid self deprecating ironic metal/electro breakdowns with little or no reasoning. But in the end that's exactly what Attack Attack! aims to do: Mix electro club music with generic metalcore (and the breakdowns to go with it)-and not giving a damn who likes it or not. It'll of course appeal to a small crowd of scene kids who enjoy it-and no one else. Which is strangely a shame because the few catchy moments (that don't go over the top) suggest the band be much more if they ever stop being so....stupid.

Timing is everything. Back when this gem came out nobody understood the concept but when you listen to any band in the genre today you will come to the realization that Attack Attack!'s selftitled is one of the absolute best attempts of modern "Genericore."

The songs are too different to form any kind of harmony on the album. Most of the songs are just bad while some - and they are quite rare -, like "Smokahontas" or "Sexual Man Chocolate", stands out, but that's it.

What needs be said about this release has already been said by many others before, and, so as not to grow redundant the finer arguments, I wish merely to say one thing. Anyone who purchases this album has been scammed by the music industry in general. I'm all for freedom of expression, but when it is used for as much evil as Attack Attack! have done, the question must be asked: do the ends really justify the means? Sure, they may be holding up their constitutional rights, but at what cost?

Wow. This album is so incredibley underrated. Even though Austin's vocals are a little more preferable, this album is by far their most brutal and facepunching stuff. It's not the most unique thing out there, but it does what it's intended to do.

This is my most listened to album so far this year. Even my co-workers, who for the most part detest when I listen to metal, get a kick out of some of these songs. A strange, but perfectly fitting, blend of metalcore, electro, alternative vocals, and a great sense of humor make for something I can draw no single comparison to. Need a sample listen? The track, Fumbles O'Brian, truly covers all bases, and the chorus will be an earworm for a long while.

A breakdown every few seconds? Check. Programmed micorkorg driven dance sequences? Check. Regressing as a band every release? Check, check, check.
Giving a track my track account of this release would be pointless. It's the same process: breakdown, dance, repeat. There was virtually no change from the first release (Someday Came Suddenly) in which at the very least held a few catchy lines. Even through multiple line-up changes the only thing new at all about Attack Attack! is the shift from Drop C to the ever-loved Drop B. If there was anything else "new" to this cd that I missed, it was drowned out by the mundane chug-chugging and autotuning for Christ fest.
However, there was one thing that caught my attention: the introduction to Smokahontas is, at its best, cute. The trance/dubstep-shift-into-breakdown was entertaining in all honesty. But that's all. That is the highlight of the entire cd. The singing is sub-par even without considering the autotune. The screaming is definitely some of the most cookie-cutter I've heard in a while.
If you enjoy chugs, autotunecore, and xbreakdownzx, this is your cup of tea. Stay the **** away from me.
Things to Enjoy:
-The first 12 seconds of "Smokahontas".

Why do people hate this band so much? I really don't get it. They're all solid musicians, and they all do something
completely unique to music...if anything, it makes them stand out. Granted, this album tends to fall on the more
'formulaic' side instead of "Someday Came Suddenly." Either way, the songwriting is good, the production is good,
and the whole album in general is very well done. Sure, there are too many breakdowns, some tracks are a bit goofy,
but it's still a great album. Recommended tracks: "Smokahontas", "Fumbles O'Brian", "Turbo Swag", and "Sexual Man
Chocolate."
