I was told this was cheesy, and was pretty much disuaded from finishing this. However, I gave it another shot and it paid off. A fantastic, highly experimental album.
My favourite Faith no More album. The best songs here are From out of Nowhere, Falling to Pieces, The Real Thing and specially Epic, in my opinion their best song.
We've all heard the classic FNM anthem Epic, but there is so much more to this excellent band than just one song, and this album is full of tasty musical treats.
Mike Patton's major label debut is as exciting now as it was back then. Just a moving, adventurous disc. Sleeper song on here for me is The Morning After. Also love From Out of Nowhere and Zombie Eaters (as well as the Slayer tinged Surprise! Your Dead!)
One of my favorite albums of all time. Mike Patton is a great vocalist. The bass lines are exceptional. Roddy Bottum adds another element to every song. The best song by far is The Real Thing. It energizes you and has awesome lyrics. Many people say its about heroin. But I see it as a defining moment in someone?s life that it changes for the better. And this feeling you get from, makes the world seem like a better place. These feelings don't come often but when they do you no it?s one of those moments.
I love From out of nowhere because I've had similar experiences.
Epic is Epic.
Just get it! It's worth every cent!
